The church in Ejemplo, Honduras has installed a 10 workstation TECHPoint in a room of their church building. In addition to the 10 modern computer stations, there is a central server which controls access, billing, data storage and more. During certain hours of the day, the TECHPoint serves as a sort of cyber café for the local community - residents come in and log on to access the Net for mail, news, sports, and other information. Their access is filtered to eliminate pornography and other unwanted influences. The default home page for the web browser is a Christian site offering articles, devotionals and more in Spanish. Each browser is also pre-loaded with a variety of pre-screened Christian bookmarks to assist them in their browsing. There are also games for children on some workstations, and printers so they can print out their latest artwork or another user can print out a letter. Users are charged a reasonable fee for their time online, as well as for any printing they may do.

In the evenings, the TECHPoint serves as a training center for the community. Earlier in the week, the TECHPoint hosted classes for basic computer skills on Monday; English as a Second Language courses using the Bible on Tuesday; Global Christian University classes on Wednesday; and an in-depth, online Bible study on Thursday. Tonight, students work with self-directed CD-ROM tutorials to achieve their high-school equivalency.

In the end, the TECHPoint has met the communication and technology needs of the people; it has brought people into the church who might never have come otherwise; it has brought them back time and time again to establish a long-term relationship; it has expanded the knowledge and skill set of the community; and it has exposed its users to Christian people (the support staff) and Christian messages (the sites and other supporting Christian materials).
